Senior Dental Assistant/Clinical Coordinator
An exciting position is available for a Clinical coordinator/Senior Dental Assistant. This position is not only an occasional chairside role but more a technical / management role, it’s an opportunity to lead, coordinate and drive clinical excellence in a modern, high – performing dental practice.
The Role
You will oversee clinical coordination, stock and equipment management, compliance logs, and staff development ensuring every surgery runs efficiently and to the highest standard.
Stock & Equipment Coordination
Weekly stock coordination and accountability
Managing housekeeping stock and ensuring adequate weekly supplies
Coordinating equipment breakdowns (chairs, autoclave, endo motor, lights, etc.)
Managing handpiece repairs and servicing
Ensuring drawers are cleaned and fully stocked in every room
Weekly room log updates
Booking validation appointments for autoclaves
RO water filter changes
Monitoring iTero sleeves and supplies
Coordinating surgical and implant ordering
Managing implant and material invoices
Logs & Compliance
Updating room logs weekly
End-of-day instrument counting and log checks
CEREC logs (blocks used, bur changes, filter changes)
Packing and sending iTero to sister practice when required
Ensuring all surgery logbooks are completed correctly
Downloading autoclave logbooks from USB
Maintaining infection control standards and implementing updates
Staff Leadership & Training
Being the go-to person for trainees, new staff, and current team members
Coordinating buddy systems and staff training
Conducting one-to-one check-ins
Overseeing end-of-day room checks
Training new DAs/trainees and managing inductions
Creating structured training guides for new staff
Supporting implant and surgical training
Scouting All-on-4 cases when required
Daily Coordination Responsibilities
Morning DA huddles (or individual briefings when needed)
Coordinating lunch breaks when providers are running late
Assisting providers chairside when required
Supporting Steri when needed
Ensuring end-of-day room counts and stock checks
Managing laundry/cloth supply
What We’re Looking For
Extensive experience as a Dental Assistant
Strong leadership and organisational skills
High attention to detail and compliance awareness
Proactive and solution-focused mindset
Excellent communication skills
Great technical skills with equipment
Experience with implants, surgical procedures and digital dentistry preferred

- Experienced Dental Assistant with Certificate 3 or 4
- Excellent time management skills
- Professional personal presentation and business etiquette
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Senior experience an advantage
- Stock coordination
