Your First Step into Implant Surgery

This hands-on course is designed to provide practical experience in surgical implant placement for beginners. To maximise learning, attendees work in pairs, placing implants and assisting their partners under close supervision. With a maximum of 10 participants, the course ensures an ideal mentor-to-mentee ratio for personalised guidance.

Please note: this is a practical-only course with limited theory components. For the best learning outcome, we highly recommend attending a foundational theory course such as AIA Fellowship 1 prior to enrolment.

What You’ll Achieve

Build foundational knowledge in implant surgical principles

Gain experience in edentulous site placement (anterior and posterior)
Perform immediate placement in anterior, premolar and molar sites
Observe advanced surgical techniques (where possible)
Develop prosthetically driven treatment plans with long-term success in mind
Learn to interpret diagnostics and CBCT scans for precise surgical planning
Understand the principles of guided versus freehand implant placement
