Course Curriculum
The course is designed to provide practical experience in surgical implant placement for beginners. To optimise the learning, attendees are put in groups of 2 to place implants and assist their partners. The course is limited to 10 attendees to facilitate this and to ensure an optimum mentor to mentee ratio. We will recommend and provide pre program reading material prior to enhance the learning experience.
The program will increase your knowledge in:
- Case selection, history taking and diagnosis
- Case evaluation and treatment planning (over 70-90 cases)
- Case planning with CBCT and surgical planning
- Knowing when to undertake the case and when to refer to specialists
- Implant placement in edentulous and immediate extraction sites
- Implant placement (free hand and guided)

- Implant surgical fundamentals
- Step-by-step implant surgical protocols on live patients under direct supervision
- Increase your confidence in placing implants predictably in your practice upon completion of the course.
- To develop prosthetically driven treatment plans
- Placement in edentulous sites anterior and posterior.
- Placement in immediate anterior, premolar and molar sites.
- Treatment planning of implant cases from diagnostics to CBCT interpretation to surgical planning
- The principles of guided vs freehand surgery
